80105's Journey North

At Shap on old A6

On a wet day in October 1973 80105 is journeying north at Shap on the old A6

The rain is obviously back on as 80105 continues its journey north past Lesmahagow
Arrives at Larbert yard

80105 arrives at Larbert Yard.  Note the policeman supervising the procedure
Inside Larbert Yard

80105 is safely inside Larbert Yard.  Looking at the trailer it's apparent that even
back in the 1970's trailers were fitted with wheels that could turn to enhance maneuverability's.
Put into position for re-railing

The engine, having arrived safely at Larbert Yard, is manoevered into
position for re-railng,

Back on the rails at Larbert 

At htis point, if engines could breatih a sigh of relief, this would be the time!

Rescued from the scrap yard, back on the rails, and in the loving hands of the
Scottish Locomotive Owners Group
