Newsetter May 2019
Our first model railway show of the year, Bonnybridge Model Rail Show, on the last weekend of April was a success.

The welcome was warm and helpful. Bonnybridge MRC is a LOG(S) shareholder and several of their members were keen to learn how ‘their’ engine was getting on. Our sales stall, pictured above, was visited by many people, enabling us to hand out flyers publicising both the shop at Bo’ness and our new website. We also managed to sell several books, pens, fridge magnets, mugs and model railway items; allowing me to bank a tidy sum at the beginning of this month. Sales in the shop at Bo’ness have also been steady.

Once again, Jim had more luck at their tombola than me, and various toiletries etc. will re-appear on our next tombola. Talking of tombolas; our Easter tombola at Bo’ness brought in a tidy, if not spectacular sum. The bottle of whisky (ticket No 1000) finally being won on Easter Monday by a very surprised but pleased lady with about the 12th ticket sold that day.

The weather over the whole Easter weekend was way better than last year’s hailstones; I even had my jacket off at one point. However, passenger numbers were down; we reckon people went to the seaside. That was the situation with all visitor attractions in the surrounding area.
